Amy Jackson was born on 31^st January 1991 in Isle of Man. She is an English model and actress. She won the Miss Teen World contest in 2008, went on to win Miss Liverpool in 2009, and was heatedly tipped to be Miss England in 2010 but lost out to Jessica Linley in the final. In 2009, at the age of 17, Indian film producers spotted her on a model agency website and invited her to audition, which led to her casting as the female lead in the Tamil film Madrasapattinam (1947: A Love Story), opposite actor Arya. It is a period-drama film where she plays the role of a British Governor’s daughter in 1947 India. Later the film was finally released on 9 July 2010; this was a decisive and commercial succeeder, with Jackson attaining praise for her performance. Later, she was signed by Gautham Menon to play a Malayali Christian in Ek Deewana Tha, her Bollywood debut and a Hindi remake of another Tamil film Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa

She enacted her acting debut with the successful 2010 Tamil period-drama Madrasapattinam, which won her acclaim for her role and launched her acting career. She will be enacting her Bollywood debut with Ekk Deewana Tha on 17 February 2012.

Despite her robotic voice, Katy Perry appears to have a magical effect on audience and has verified that she has the most ardent fan following.  Katy Perry and ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2′ were the big winners of the night at the People’s Choice Awards. The 38th annual show held in Los Angeles, celebrated selections made by 40 million voters.

Perry took away the most awards, sweeping five categories. Absentee Perry was honored in five categories, including favorite female artist, tour headliner, and song of the year for ‘E.T.’ with Kanye West, music video for ‘Last Friday Night’ and Television guest star for ‘How I Met Your Mother’.

Despite originally being touted by the show’s organizers as among the nominees expected to attend, Perry told fans on Twitter earlier this week that she wouldn’t make it to the show but that “I want to thank u all for voting for me, fingers crossed!” It would have marked Perry’s first public appearance since British actor-comedian Russell Brand filed for divorce from Perry last month after 14 months of marriage.
